I feel them again.
It is in this hour that my wings are unveiled and their bewildering span, so vast and dark that night shies away in trepidation. I cleave off my skin and reveal the viscera that has been defiled and befouled by maggots and whores over the years. Fingers deep in there, cherishing the sensuous moments of agony I feel as I twist my organs amongst the swirling blood. Death! Where are you? I know my fates have been sealed, with the very pleasures of the flesh I so foolishly begged for. So come take me. I fear no death, though no death will touch me. At the end of eternity, when all man is spent, there I shall stand with the soulless, as the angels, the beasts and the demons do, my wings high and proud, for I created this hurt and hate I suffer.
